Amy Bailey was born and raised in West Virginia and received her undergraduate degree from West Virginia University in 1997. She received her Bachelor of Science in Journalism and Public Relations with a minor in Fashion and Apparel. After living and working in Morgantown, West Virginia and Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Bailey relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2000.
Ms. Bailey graduated from the University of New Mexico, School of Law in 2006. During law school, Ms. Bailey was the Student Bar Association Secretary and a member of the Women's Law Caucus and the Federalist Society. She received the Dean's Award for special contributions to the law school and was on both the Dean's List and Honor Roll. Ms. Bailey had a clerkship at the Republican National Committee in 2004 and at the Barnett Law Firm in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where she began practicing law following her admission to the New Mexico bar in September 2006.
Ms. Bailey is a member of the New Mexico and Albuquerque Bar Associations and is admitted to practice in the United States District Court for the District of New Mexico and a member of the New Mexico Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Ms. Bailey's current practice areas are family law, domestic violence, general civil matters and criminal defense law
